Dr. Jessica Montalvo is a physician, with training & certification in internal medicine, palliative medicine, and functional medicine. She attended Harvard University for undergraduate education and the University of Rochester for medical school. She completed residency training at Northwestern University in Chicago. Jessica first developed an interest in cannabis when she was working in the hospital with seriously ill patients. She saw the benefits of cannabis for relieving suffering in both her professional and personal life. She currently sees patients in two private functional medicine practices where she focuses heavily on environmentally acquired health issues such as Lyme disease and mold illness. Her mission is to support Plesio Health because she wants everyone to have access to knowledgeable cannabis providers and she believes that cannabis nurses are the ones to bring competent cannabis care to everyone. In her off time, she enjoys being an amateur restaurant critic and going on outdoor adventures with her husband and dogs.
