Lauren Montalvo is a New Jersey native and Plesio Health nurse. She is a veteran and has been a Registered Nurse for 7 years and is a new Family Nurse Practitioner. Additionally, she holds a certification in Cannabis Nursing through the American Cannabis Nurses’ Association, as well as a nursing degree from George Washington University and a Master’s degree from Drexel University that prepared her to be a Family Nurse Practitioner. She began her nursing career at a large level-one trauma hospital where she mastered critical care. Her experience has bloomed over the years in a variety of clinical settings: critical and pre-and post-operative care, home health, telehealth, medical interpretation, nursing education, and now family practice. She became passionate about cannabis care and holistic medicine after realizing that often cannabis care is a safer and more effective way to manage symptoms and conditions when compared to traditional pharmaceuticals. Lauren is multilingual and enjoys using her language skills to advocate for patients in their health journeys. She is fluent in Spanish and Mandarin and possesses a certification in medical interpretation. She is dedicated to advocating for cannabis care and education and looks forward to assisting those who are interested in implementing cannabis medicine and education in their own lives to promote the best possible health outcomes. She enjoys learning languages, music, singing, cultures, cooking, working out, running, and traveling.
